Hi diddly Ho,
I’m quietly - well, not so quietly now - optimistic about this season.
We might not win any silverware, but with each game week it feels like we’re seeing improvements somewhere, whether that’s across the squad or from individual players.
Really happy to see Gakpo finding some form, and even showing a side to his game that I don’t think we’ve seen enough of before. He had a very difficult summer and, from what I know, he wanted to leave even before the City interest came about.
We’ve also brought in players who haven’t necessarily hit the ground running, but we know what they’re capable of because we’ve seen them do it before they joined us. Sometimes it takes time. It’s been a turbulent period for the club, both at squad level and beyond, and I think that context gets forgotten a little too easily when judging individual players.
Iraola was brought in for a reason, and I don’t see why he can’t get the best out of this squad. Not just the obvious starters either - I think there’s every chance he can improve the fringe players and turn a few of them into genuinely useful options over the course of the season.
It’s also worth remembering that our players should have our support whenever they put on the shirt and represent the club.
I’ve seen a few comments suggesting players need to do something special before they ‘earn’ the support, and I just don’t agree with that. We should be behind them when things aren’t going well too, so that when they do produce those big moments, the support feels genuine rather than like everyone suddenly jumping on the bandwagon.
If they’re struggling, they should know we’re behind them. If they’re flying, they should feel that support even more.
Diddly out.

I still curse our luck. That our luck had Pep on the opposition end and we didn't win 3 PL titles under Klopp.
I don't think we will see the Klopp squad back again ever. Grateful to have witnessed that football and hopeful that Iraola does a Paisley in terms of success.

One of the first things Jurgen wanted was the Twelfth man returning. You only need to look at the Newcastle game; the crowd got that draw, not the team.
Andoni in his first ever PL match day programme notes wanted passion from the crowd. In fact, he said he was looking forward to witnessing the effects of it as one of us.
The last time he was here they were looking good for a 2-2 draw, then Chiesa scored and whoosh the whole crowd were up for it. There has never been a record of how many times the Twelfth man has won a game for LFC, the reason being there are far too many to count in the past and in the future!
