Going on from Cara's post i have just also heard that Liverpool have reached an agreement with Xabi,

Personally I hope the club act sooner as there is a serious possibility we don't make CL with how we are performing.
If Alonso is lined up and willing to step in now then it's worth the gamble, it certainly can't be much worse.
