Seems like Brighton are trying to get a deal done for 30mil.

The valuation is weird to me because he was the leader at HSV last season, at just 18/19 years of age, and was voted into the team of the season of the Bundesliga.
His potential, if he keeps playing on the same level as last year, is insane. 30mil seems like a steal, and it would surprise me if Tottenham would let him go for that cheap.

This be part of the Van Hecke deal. Spurs pay 70 for him, as long as they sell Vuskovic for Brighton 30m.

Agree with Fowler above and Alex below, this is definitely a sweetener for Van Hecke.
I could see something similar with one of our players (maybe Harvey, albeit I'd want him to stay) and RB Leipzig as part of the Diomande deal.

I would imagine that Spurs, having finished 18th in the last 2 seasons, have more immediate needs and therefore a more reliable (if lower-barred) CB may be their focus. Plus they may do a buy-back clause etc, (like we did with Quansah), so they don't lose him for ever.

If we are looking for another centre back, we should be all over him. The Spurs fans I know rate him very highly indeed. 30m sounds like a steal.

It's not 30 million, it's a way of including him into an inflated deal for Van Hecke.
If LFC wanted him, you could double that price easily.

Is he as good as the hype suggests? Keep hearing he's the next big thing, but maybe he's not kicked on since signing? Plenty of time to do so, but wouldn't be the first youngster not to fulfil his potential.
