Hi ITKs, has there been any progress on the contract negotiations with Szobo and Rio?

So it's time for Dom to take a s*** or get off the pot... I'd love him to sign a new contract, but if he won't, we need to sell him before the end of this transfer window.
We all saw how he reacted to the crowd booing Trent, so we can't allow him to pull the same trick, fobbing us off all next season and leaving for free in 2028.
We need to make a decision quick before Madrid pay £120m on Enzo, because I can't see them spending another £100m + on Dom as well.
Surely we won't sell to another prem team, so that leaves Bayern or PSG.
Maybe a swap involving Barcola would suit everyone?

Rio shouldn't be getting a contract increase, he a kid with a few performances, I think if true his camp accepted bayerns offer, he will drop us like a stone, I really don't think he will show any loyalty at all
He needs to work on his game, it's bad enough he's been promised first team football

Rio will get an increase. A large one so that we get him tied down. Why wouldn't he? A lot of other teams would have promised him games to get him out of Chelsea. Why would he have huge loyalty to us, he's only here a couple of years.
See how he feels after a few years of playing at Anfield. And if he still wants to move on we'll get a huge fee for him.

Rio has 2 years left on his contract. We need to get him signed to an extension as early as possible. Otherwise, Bayern will just take him on a free at the end of his contract. And, I for one, am sick of seeing good players leave out the door for free.

Fatwallet, Rio's contract ends in 2028. We should 100% be looking at renewing it. We can't keep leaving contracts to get to final 12 months.

They can't get him for free due to his age. But him moving abroad will be a minimal payment. Moving to another English club means the fee will go to a tribunal if it can't be agreed (never is).

I felt at the time that Slobs was applying an exit strategy.

You can't sell players under contract who aren't willing to leave.
