Liverpool very tentatively enquired about the availability of Ferran Torres a few months back - as we have done with many players. It’s all due diligence and I do not expect us to move for him this summer.

According to Sky, we have made an approach for Akliouche, a PSG target. I wonder if this is the same tactic we used against Newcastle for Isak last year, basically telling them we will take their target if they don't let us sign Barcola.
For what it's worth, I rate him highly. I saw him live vs. Lyon last season, and he was the best player on the pitch.

Thanks, mate... I think I will just enjoy the prem this season. No demands. I think youth will play a lot more, but it's gonna be hard this season, folks, really difficult, but I don't think the signings are gonna go the fans way.

It appears to be true.
We have enquired about Magnes Akilouche and, in my opinion, we're playing a seriously risky (borderline silly) game here.
From outside in, we're attempting to recreate an Isak & Ekitike scenario.
All good doing that to Newcastle United, but PSG?
I did think there would be games, and now they've well and truly begun.

I've just asked my source, and second Carra on this.
Liverpool are testing the waters with (PSG target) Maghnes Akliouche's agent about a possible move.
Interesting to see if this is the RW we'll go for.
£40 million fee.

We have worked for months to unravel the legal mess that Yan Diomande finds himself in.
That was all un-weeded, the player said he wanted us only, but agents started messing everyone around, opening the doors for PSG (who he has agreed higher terms with).
Leipzig also were gunning for a bidding war. That won't happen, as both teams have a similar price marked on the player.
The whole saga became crazy, and we decided to leave the chat, that's according to the club.
If there was a way to get a deal back on track, we may entertain it, but would need guarantees and assurances from player and agents that he only wants us.
But yes, Yan Diomande has been the number one target of the club, but as you'd expect we are looking to other options right now as well.

Don't mind this, even with PSG. If it means they have to prove they're willing to match our bid and get a move on, I'm all for it. Then, whether he picks them or us, at least we can move on then to other targets.

I really wanted Diomande, but if he isn't excited about joining us, then we should move on. Akliouche seems like a better fit for us, and I can see him excelling here.
