From my side of things, talk of Mbaye is just that. It seems his agent is the one that leaked supposed interest to the press. We all know how agents like to use supposed interest of other clubs to get their client the best deal they can from either their current club or potential one.
It could push us to move for him, like Munoz almost signing for Newcastle did. So I'm not going to fully rule it out. I just don't see it happening.

Cheers Fields. But if Joyce is confirming interest and reporting that we are exploring it separate to Barcola, then it's most likely more than agent talk. Usually the club would use him to kill the rumour instead.

He's a diva. He sounds like a headache. There's a video from a French journalist, named Romain Molina, who talks about him not keeping his weight in check, shows up late to practice. His father leaks information. The journalist says PSG is trying to get rid of him.

Joyce is pretty reliable, like, 1 of a few journalists I trust. He has also been wrong before, like Slot staying, for example.
I just know from the agents knitting circle, it appears to be just a rumour of supposed interest and nothing more.
As I said, I'm not ruling it out tho, just nothing substantial around us making a move or speaking to PSG about him.

Do we really need another young player on top of Rio and Daniel? Also, he will hardly be priced relative to his inexperience. We need established players; even players in their later years.
Arguably, a similar issue with signing Barcola; yes, a very good player, but we'd end up with a 'third wheel' out wide.

Fatwallet, Diomandes is 20 in a couple of months, and had a phenomenal season in the Bundesliga, bagged 23 G/A as a standout first-choice RW. Mbaye only turned 18 this year, and is essentially 3rd choice at PSG.
He only appeared in 4 of the 16 UCL matches, and had just 5 G/A. Despite the fact that there's less than 2 years between them, they're leagues apart at the moment.

Diomande has 46 appearances and 15 goals, and Mbaye has 41 appearances and 4 goals. Hardly leagues apart. I'd imagine Diomande has more goals because of the full games he plays, as a result of not having Barcola, Doue and Kvaradonna at the same club. Similar amount of games on the international stage, Mbaye actually outscores him.

Florian, number of appearances means sfa without context. Heskey had nearly 250 appearances and only ever scored about 50 goals. The fact that you openly denied the difference between 23 and 5 goal contributions was leagues apart, goes to show just how desperate you are to create an opposing view.

Who denied anything? I posted how many games they've played and how many goals they've scored. You say I've denied a difference, so would it not be fair to say you've denied the fact that Mbaye is competing against the best in the world in his position, whereas quite clearly Diomande isn't.
Yet Mbaye, at 15 months younger, only has 5 less appearances. The fact is, they are not leagues apart. If Diomande was coming through at PSG he'd be a bit part player just like Mbaye.

Yes, you did deny it, you clearly said, "They're hardly leagues apart" when in fact Diomande has nearly 5 times as many goal contributions as Mbaye. 5x more anything is leagues apart, no matter the situation, if 1 person had 5x more goals, cars, houses, salary, IQ, testosterone, or anythin else, they would be leagues apart. There's no argument for that (don't bother trying to be witty and make a 5x0=0 quip). As I said before, appearances don't mean a thing. Your logic is backwards, you can't just decide not to include stats and context that doesn't suit your argument.
Not to mention your 2nd point is wildly contradictory of your 1st. You initially argued that "they're hardly leagues apart" because they've got almost the same amount of appearances, as if they're almost of the exact same experience level, but then you also argue that Mbaye doesn't have as many goal contributions because he doesn't have as many minutes, as if he's not getting as much experience. Hilarious. You'd argue the sky was green if somebody told you it was blue, mate. Have a little sit down for yourself, will you.
