Gerrard is no longer in our team, he's done loads for us and i don't think asking this question is a ''dismiss'' or dismissal to what Gerrard has done for us, or even a slight against the man.
We have no Gerard and so far it's not looking like a train wreck three games in. It's a fair question to ask in my opinion.

Rafa won't actively try to create a conflict with Ronaldo, or "put him in his place" unless Ronaldo falls out with the Real Madrid hierarchy, or decides he wants to play elsewhere and starts looking for a move. Why? Because Rafa knows that taking on Ronaldo whilst he's still wanted and liked at the club would be begging to be sacked.
And tbh, although I'm not a Ronaldo fan, and although it may appear to outside observers that he's vain, in love with himself and can't bear to share the limelight, considering how physically fit and how good a player he has been for a long time, it's a dead cert that goes about his day to day business as a footballer very professionally, so there may be no cause for them to fall out and no need for one to take on the other.
And petulant, surly, pre-Madonna's tend to have been at more than three clubs by the time they're 30 too. No matter how good they are.

If the rumours about Lucas leaving are true than I for one will be deliriously happy. The guy is the epitome of class and deserves to be treated with dignity and be one of the first names on the team sheet. We can't offer him any of the above although we reneged on promises made to him of this very nature. I know some of you think Can is the second coming (myself included) but one swallow doesn't make a summer. The kid is going to be special but I still feel he is too inconsistent and raw to be a regular. That's why we need lucas the destroyer, Mr consistency to do the unsung hero job that Milner and Henderson can't do and that Can hasn't got the discipline for yet. Just shows again what a disingenuous charlatan Brendan Rogers is who has a distinct lack of class to go with his supersize ego. Good luck in pastures new Mr Lucas Leiva and thank-you for your unflinching service to Liverpool FC.

I actually don't think Lucas' ability and talent is either here nor there in this argument. Personally, I think to treat a player of ours who has given so many years of good service in such a deplorable way is the issue. If BR doesn't rate him, fine. If he doesn't want him, fine. But there is a way to go about this especially with a model professional like Lucas. We currently seem INCAPABLE of moving players on without some sort of row/falling out/scandal.

Silva is incomparable(besides Messi and CR7). He's simply the third best footballer on the planet. Hazard, Sanchez and Ageuro don't even get close. Suarez is possibly on the same level.
