Anything new or changed regarding Mount? Everyday there seems to be more apparently reliable jounalists saying we want to try sign him. No smoke without fire and all that but ed2 said we weren't one of the clubs that have approached him which id be more inclined to believe.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool cannot approach the player - that is illegal and Liverpool have already been sailing close to the wind again. Liverpool has not spoken with Chelsea about Mount.}

But do Liverpool have any interest in him? Albeit they have not spoken to Chelsea or his representatives.

And regarding the Liverpool having been sailing close to the wind. Is that regarding Bellingham?

Thanks for all the info you give us on this site, very much appreciated!

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any serious interest that would lead to an offer unless he is another being considered as an alternative to Jude Bellingham. In terms of transgressions it is more than just Bellingham.}

More than just Bellingham sounds interesting and exciting. Thanks Ed ?.

Mount is a Chelsea fan and London boy he wants to stay with them realistically, I would only consider him if he was committed and hungry to die for the shirt and I don't think he is.

If he is a fan and London boy then why hasn’t he signed a contract extension yet Hailstones?

Currently, according to the press, Potter has that many first team squad players he can’t run properly organised training sessions - which, if true and I hope it is - is farcical so perhaps, at the stage in his career that he’s at now, Mount doesn’t want to be 15th choice midfielder, with no guarantee it won’t be 25th in line if Big Ted can’t keep his cheque book in his pocket in July?

Yes they do have interest. I know ed2 goes on about LFC approaching players but trust me LFC are one on many clubs who do this that’s a 100% fact.

{Ed002's Note - So you are accusing Klopp of tapping up Mount now?}

Come on let's be honest here, that whole "tapping up" things might be against the rules but EVERYONE does it. It's only when the selling clubs get p. ed off or the prospective buyer takes the p. that it actually gets brought up as an issue.

If it was a rule that actually policed and prosecuted EVERY club in football would be guilty and transfers just wouldn't happen.

{Ed002's Note - No they don't - why this constant defending of the cheat? There have been seven accusations so far this year - 6 against English sides and one against a Spanis side.}

I mean to be fair the Spanish sides are too busy tapping up referees it would seem. But at least England is number one at something I guess…. no often we lead the world in anything these days.

{Ed002's Note - I would not start throwing stones else someone will raise some of the seedier aspects of match fixing involving English sides.

Mount has been terrible for about a year.

I would not go anywhere near him at present.

Mount would be another joe cole mistake.

What’s a ‘Joe Cole mistake’? Are there any other categories of mistake named after specific players? I would think there is a ‘Naby Keita mistake’ for certain?

Wouldn't go anywhere near Mount. Been dreadful all season. Need more than a 1 season wonder.

To be fair to Joe Cole, he was at the club when we were utterly sh*t. I don’t think he is fully to blame. He was also on the way out career wise wasn’t he?
