We’re playing Real in the final. Just as we did on the way to victory in 81 in Paris. Oh, and in 81 West Ham played a European quarter final too 😉.

For me City is the strongest, if they play to their potential then this Madrid defense is going to struggle against them.

Anyways it's ifs and buts I'm just happy how things are falling in place for us to reach another CL final. Let's hope we do the job can't get better chance then this tho.

I’m just glad we’ve got a walkover to the CL final. There doesn’t seem to be much point turning up for the Benfica or Villarreal games.

{Ed0666's Note - We typically don’t fare well against teams that set up like them. Forget their league position they are a cup side and Emery is a cup manager. We can’t afford to take them lightly. It’s no way a walkover as they just beat a Bayern side who is littered with ballers.

I got the irony in your post WDW and we will be in for a tough match if we get past Benfica. For some reason though, i always feel confident playing teams in yellow. Maybe its the Dortmund and Norwich results in the past decade, or perhaps because subconsciously it is harder to gift the ball to the opposition if the colours are highly contrasting. Off the top of my head i can't remember the last yellow team to beat us while were playing in our home kit.

Ed0666 is right about them being a cup team. No matter what it's not going to be easy but let's face it, if we were offered the chance to get Benfica then Villareal to get to the final then we all would've taken it when the quarter final draw was being made. I don't think this manager or these players take anything or anyone lightly so they will be switched on tonight. I'd go as strong as possible. Get the game done and dusted then use 5 subs to give players a break.
