Hendo getting a England call up can’t say I agree with it or happy! I think he’s hittin borrowed time the way injuries hit him these days! I get he loves playing for his country but maybe he should be thinking about his bread n butter!

{Ed025's Note - fair comment jay..

It is frustrating especially when he’s taking the place of Philips who has barely played minutes for city.

He needs to get fit so training with England can’t be a bad thing. Doubt he’ll play any games but if he does he prob needs them hence why Klopp said go for it and come back match fit.

He needs fitness and these are glorified friendlies, and a second point he’s an older head for the younger lads in the team and will help out with that side of things.

If he's over his injury he'll play some minutes and get his fitness up, if he's not he won't play. What's the problem?

Philips is injured isn't he jordz? If he can get 10mins here and there, it'll help us with match fitness, just hope he doesn't get too long on the pitch.

Why does Hendo need to help out if it’s just glorified friendlies? I think he should sort his form and fitness out first really.

Is this today's Daily Moan?
Hendo getting an England call up?

It's probably Hendos last chance of going to the WC, don't blame him for being available.

Appreciate the original posters concerns, but personally feel a little match time (provided its managed in the right way) will give him some match sharpness/ fitness which will only benefit us.

It is Flash. Can you imagine the phone call …. Jay, you’ve been called to represent t your country and play your way into the squad for the World Cup. Back come Jay : Nah you can stick it.

What little lad kicking a ball about doesn’t imagine that at some point he scores the winner in the World Cup Final?

Perhaps there are still people who want to play for their country?

Hendo played the 2014 and 2018 WC's so how is this his last chance to play in a WC? Also, pretty sure Klopp and the staff gave their blessing to Hendo going to the England camp so not sure what the big deal is?

C’mon guys. England play at a snail’s pace. It’ll be good for him to stretch his legs before we resume the league!

Because Oli, in a linear sense, 2014 and 2018 are in the past.
I don’t think Hendo will have the opportunity to play in those World Cups again.
In 2026 he’ll be nearly as old as I am.

So I am inclined to agree with Otts, this will be the last WC in which there is a realistic opportunity for Hendo to be called up.

Simple.

@Oil, in the sense that he’ll be getting on for 36 by the time the next one comes around. So despite the fact he has played in 2 this will be his last chance to play in one.

WDW, if it's the last chance for Hendo to play in the WC (which is what Otts said), that means to me that he hasn't gotten the chance to play in one prior to now. That's how I interpret such a statement. I still don't understand the logic you guys are using here BUT that's not important. There are worse things going on in the world than this.

U won’t be saying these comments if hendo gets injured! As I said I think his injuries say give it up amd just focus on his bread n butter! If Jordan’s happy sure go knock your socks off lad just don’t come back crying!
Hopefully I’m wrong md he just gets the fitness up ??.

It doesn't mean that at all, Oli.
Otts said it's probably his last chance, not his only chance.

Looking at the adversity Henderson has faced and overcome does anyone really believe he will come back crying if he plays for the national team and gets injured?
Can't see it myself.

Well it’s safe to say Hendo is vaxed, as Knobgate said nobody should play for England if they not vaxed.

Hendo is there to keep Trent company and help tap up Jude. Should have been obvious by now. He'll be there at the WC too to work his magic.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't think you should be discussing tapping up.}
