How can you go to Juventus and sign Arthur Melo when Zakaria was available for a loan. The boy can play, he is a capable Fabinho cover. He was available for free last year and we did nothing.
He is the only bright spot at Chelsea today and it looks like they will make that deal permanent.

Didn't appear in the league until the 27th of December. That is better than Arthur 15 minutes in the CL, I suppose, but if Zakaria had come here and done that he'd be slated as an FSG last minute desperation signing.

I think Plan A is Bellingham, Juicer. I don't think it's that absurd that he'd join us.
Like with VVD, he'll be top dog in our midfield (who wouldn't ?) .
That might not be the case at Madrid or City. If he chooses one of them, we'll take one of their midfielders as a consolation prize. De Bruyne or Valverde will do!

Zakaria was already off to Chelsea and that is who Klopp wanted on deadline day at first. When that angle hit a dead end, he made do with Arthur which tells me, he didn't even want Arthur to begin win. Then begs the question, if he could settle of just a midfielder then, why had he been saying that it had to be for the "right player"?

And why didn't he settle for way better players if than Arthur or even Zakaria before hand? Just a guy engaging in deductive reasoning so don't mind me.
