I have a feeling we ain't signing anyone this January instead elliot will cover salah, McConnell bobby clark will come into the squad as will quansah for matip. The only position we aren't properly covered naturally is left back I would love antone Robinson ov Fulham but gomez is doing brilliantly. I am not investing in signings til the summer.

We have a world class left back returning in 2 weeks called Andy robertson. No ill pass on another left back.

I’m not sure I would buy anyone to be honest this January. I can see the cracks in the squad but they are only minor cracks that can probably wait until summer.
Unless a major target becomes available obviously.
Maybe a centre back though to replace Matip.

OP, your feeling would be correct. Why would be buy people to replace those who are in injury recovery and about to start playing again or to replace players who are off form which is always temporarily? Makes no sense to me either.

Oh soz I didn't realise that robbo was back in 2 weeks that's that sorted, but I am excited to see the likes of elliot, McConnell, Bobby Clark, quansah, bajetic fill in instead of buying an neglecting there progress.

The club has shown in the past that they are willing to buy players in the Winter window. I guess if they were certain that a player was to leave in the summer then they might well act, Diaz for Mane as an example. It wouldn’t surprise me to see one new addition.

I would think if there is any signal mo was leaving in the summer coming up we might buy a potential replacement, that would be very telling.

Also read that Liverpool has cut short Becks (left back) loan spell from Dundee. Signals to me that he'll provide cover for Gomez until robbo is up to speed.

Klopp said Robbo won’t be back in January but I agree Gomez doing a first class job. It’s the midfield that worries me we are down to just 4 first team players.

If anybody comes in we can welcome them but I personally don't see any deals happening in this window and to be honest I'm completely fine with that.

I would only sign someone now if a target for potential summer replacements becomes available like Diaz for Mane. I'm thinking a Salah replacement, Matip replacement and out and out DM.

On the PL injuries site Robbo is currently back on 4th Feb, which is a change from the date of 21st Jan, it had early last week. Like @Merk said, Klopp mentioned in the press conference last week Robbo is not close to returning to full training. All that said I think we have cover as long as Joe stays fit.
