I rate KDB but he isn't what we need. If we got the right dm we could let sboz and grav get forward and run at players more. And let Mac be the playmaker he is. who that player is. not sure lol.

I'm assuming you mean Grav and Dom would rotate if we got the right DM? unless you're meaning that we move to a diamond in midfield?
other than that I like the thinking, although I would say Grav is firmed up the CDM spot as his own. so whoever we bring in would rotate. But it's nice to have that flexibility.

Slot doesn’t really use a traditional DM, why would we want to play Gravenberch out of the position where he’s been a revelation this season? Make it make sense.

Gravenberch is not a sitter @Johny. he likes to carry the ball forward from the deep. so you are wrong in saying his is at his best position. Gravenberch would flourish with someone who can do the defensive job. don't give a toss weather slot likes or not but you need someone to mop the danger and win the second ball.

If and a big If KDB does happen and he takes a pay cut which he was rumored to be happy to do at City, KDB rotating with Dom is a pretty damn good option.
Grav/ Stiller
Mac/ Jones
Dom/ KDB
with Nyoni and other youth team options coming in for cup games I wouldn't say no.
