I was watching clips of the last game of the season where the players had their families on the pitch which is always enjoyable but I had to chuckle as Jota misplaced a pass to one of his little ones. I just chuckled and thought 'yep that's Diogo' one minute I'd be tearing my hair out in frustration and the next minute I'd be screaming his song at the top of my lungs after he had bundled his way through a couple of players and hit the ball through the keeper. As a player so frustrating but I definitely would not change him. I guess one of the reasons he is such a cult figure is due to how frustrating he was. I'm not religious at all but if he is looking down then Thanks Diogo I
Wouldn't have had the last 5 years any other way.

We’ve lost games, finals, titles but this is lowest I’ve ever felt in my 40 years supporting the Reds. Too young to know the reality of Hillsborough and Heysel. Still hurting. Never forget you Diogo!

Hillsborogh changed my life forever mate but all grief is hard, Diogo will be long remembered mate, a good player, a good person, and one of us.

I was too young to process Heysel and Hillsborough BUT I am having a really hard time trying to digest this tragedy esp. since on a personal level, it is deja-vu for me. I'll keep trying and pushing along and with time things will get less harder BUT like I said, it's DAMN hard.
