Media reporting Guehi's City salary as £300k per week - if true it's not surprising at all that we passed. Would've loved him, but don't think he's worth that - fair play to him getting the bag.

The 300grand a week make a difference? If we got him as a free transfer in summer and he'd be on atleast 200 grand a week and still have to pay him a substantial signing on fee surely. Would it not even itself out?

If you pay Guehi £300k per week then what happens when Szoboszlai or Gravenberch want a new contract? Players who have actually won the league see someone coming in on £300k per week will ask for the same money.

Thing is Thunderbird 2 we agreed to pay Salah, VVD and now by all reports Gakpoo big money when they are done at the highest level. It's the likes of Diaz and Guehi that we ought to have paid the wages to as they should have been a core part of the next 5 years.
We now have Isak, Gakpoo and Wirtz to go alongside VVD, Salah and VVD, all of whom won't fight or run through brick walls. That's why teams are able to out battle us. Hughes is an arrogant person.

I really do not care what Guehi is getting he has gone so let's all move on we are Liverpool FC.
Lets hope we can get the points in the bag v Burnley no disrespect to Burnley but it is about time we gave someone a good beating to lift spirits across the club.
