Ed001, do you think Alonso would want a rest first and to take over in the summer or happy to move in if we do sack slot.
Don't see how he wouldn't want to join us now if he would've been happy to see out the season with Madrid.
Need to get our new manger in ASAP to access the squad and create cohesion with the team.

Ed what's your thoughts on the mess we are in? Stick with Arne or try and get someone else in through door? It looks like if we don't change we are not getting CL next season, the risk is if we do change we might still miss out. For my two pennies worth I would make the change now.
You can't have the fans turn on the team, that really is a disaster. Would you be happy with Alonso and maybe Gerrard joking his team? Who would you have if you were to change? Thanks for all you do, great community on the site.
{Ed001's Note - it is getting to the point where it has to change, Slot has lost so much of the crowd now, I am not sure he has the charm or charisma to get him through these kind of rough spells. Added to that, his man-management is lacking, so the team falls apart very easily.
I think it has to be Alonso now, it would be silly not to go for him. Ask the Madrid fans, who are furious about his sacking and booing their players for getting him sacked. He has the status to immediately get the players on side. Not sure about Gerrard, he is not one for working for others, he wants to be in charge.}

XA and RM need to settle the ending of his role, financially I mean, RM may insist or better put, pay him gardening leave until the summer, many factors play into this legally etc.
It's also been indicated here it's highly likely that Slot stays till the summer, question is can Slot turn a miracle and save his job?

Fair play to Slot he let the momentum roll last season and managed to win a league title, I think its fair to say he's been well and truly found out now. I was hoping we'd limp to a top for finish and knockout round of the champions league, but that's looking less likely game by game.
But hey, undefeated steak continues.

Alonso was a model professional at all clubs and a club legend at two of them minimum. He knows and has admiration for the club, it's time to come home Alonso.
Let the bald fraud who complains about low blocks go home too so we don't have to listen to anymore of his sh*te!

Spot on, @Slot. Get this guy out of my club ASAP. I stopped paying attention to his crap since the Sun. game. Think how far that was. I don't look forward to LFC games anymore. And when I watch them, I have become numb to all the team's performances.
Didn't see the game but once I saw the result. Do you think I was surprised? Not in the least bit. Just happy I spent time at my son's B-ball game. But hey, what do I know? We have an "unbeaten run", right? I remember BR's time in the 14/ 15 season and we had an unbeaten run back then, too. Till United came to Anfield and embarrassed us.
Top 4 will be in jeoapardy if Slot is not careful BUT we will see who he blames for that should CL footie not happen cos it most certainly won't be his fault. I promise you that.
