The Athletic did a podcast over a month ago. You can watch it on YouTube. It was titled can Alonso fix Liverpool. They looked at the way he played at Leverkusen and how our players would fit a new system. Interesting watch.

Keegans as I did, all you have to do is watch the way Leverkusen played under Alonso in the year they went invincible. They played the high press, moved the ball quickly with pace esp. in transition and were compact out of possession when required indef. transition.
Also, Alonso's tactics were very flexible depending on the situation. Cos for ex., Hincapie could play LB and LCB, he would morph into a LB when the team went to a back 4 in-game (with Frimpong at RW) when required and they would go back into a back 3 with Ta and Tapsoba. Ut was so fluid.
Now do we have the personnel to do the above, I don't thinks so but we defo. have the personnel to do some of the things I mentioned above right now and go from there, IMO.

I watched that and Alonso's problems at RM seemed to mirror Slot's problems at LFC - Vinicus/ Salah, CB and FB issues, lack of intensity, players not buying into the tactics 'etc'.

Vinicius and Salah can't be further apart. Salah works hard and takes care of himself and his fitness. Vini whined when Alonso tried to make him work harder for the team.
Ed001 already told us that Salah's problem with Slot and Hughes was that they tried to sell him behind his back. It was nothing to do with Salah's attitude, unlike Vini.

Drac, comparing Salah with Vini jnr in any shape or form esp. when it comes to attitude and professional conduct on and off the pitch is just nasty work.
