If we were to move Slot on, Xabi was never my preference in any case.
But, I can also recognize that he would have brought a great sense of calm in the current storm we are in and hope for the next season and beyond.
My sense is that he is a good fit for Chelsea as a club, their profile of players and playing style. Potentially a good pick up for them. And I'm only saying potentially, because it's on the backdrop of their recent history. If he comes as advertised, then he could really turn their fortunes around.
Now that he is off the table and it seeming unlikely we can land Enrique, the alternatives imo are just another project not named Slot.
So for me it's like it's Slot or a cat. It seems like most people here would take a cat lol.
For me, the situation feels untenable so a change has to be made.
I'm just not excited about any of the names being mentioned, except for Enrique.
Let's hope he goes back to back in CL and then considers a new challenge! :D

Tbh. 5 at the back would suck at Liverpool. Feels like I just want Slot gone more than I've thought what was actually right for us.

I want a manager who will bring back the exciting pressing heavy metal football that we all love. Personally, whoever is the closest match to that is who I want. It sounds like that would be Iraola, but I don't know for sure.
