The frustration and even the anger toward this season is completely understandable. But have we really reached the point where people feel the need to resort to personal insults just to make their point?
As a season ticket holder, I can honestly say this has been the worst season since the days under Brendan or Roy, especially coming off the back of winning the league last year. I'm not a sympathiser of Arne Slot, and I do believe changes are needed, including him moving on. But I won't stoop to calling him some of the names I've seen thrown around here.
Even the ITKs who share what they've heard get hammered if things don't come to pass, as if football isn't constantly changing.
This is Liverpool FC. We're better than this.
Rant over, up the reds!

Good post, Farforeignland. It will fall on deaf ears, but you and I are on the same page.

No actual serious Liverpool fan (ie. not a throwaway troll account) wants Slot to stay at this point, but there is no need for people to go around calling him a "vile rat", as one person has.
Kelvin McKenzie is a vile rat.
A manager who screwed up tactically and doesn't train the players properly, and sits there scratching his head and not fixing it, is infuriating as a fan, but he's not a vile rat.
Likewise, I don't see the value in taking digs at people who post rumours. People do it to just look like little smart arses who want to feel smug about themselves because they have nothing constructive to add.

This rhetoric that we are better than this, n our support means more etc, is a load of tripe. There is a lot of things that has changed for the worse in this world as iv got older, but making our feeling clearly heard isn't one of them. In fact, it should happen more.
Name calling has been around forever n only the PC brigade call this out, im old skool. I call a spade a spade n if it hurts your feelings, then so what. At least you know how everyone feels instead of burying our heads in the sand.

There's 1 person on here calling Slot a rat, that's it, just one. He's done it numerous times. No point pleading or arguing with him, just ignore it. Posts like this make it seem like it's a bigger issue than it really is.

"But have we really reached the point where people feel the need to resort to personal insults just to make their point?"
Yes, we have. If you don't want to call him names and feel like a great person, go ahead.
But this isn't a corporate setting where people have to bite their tongue. Slot is laughing at us, and will rightfully be called a p**** for doing so.

Just because you think everybody else does it doesn't mean Liverpool fans should do it. There is nothing wrong in calling a spade a spade, but to call an employee a vile rat is just way so far over the top.

Lowe1FC, It depends where you draw the line at what's acceptable and not acceptable. Strom, when you and I were kids, there was no social media and keyboards to hide behind. I'm far from woke, but you can make your feelings clear without resorting to name calling. That said, Slot or anyone else at LFC could give a flying fish what's said on here.

Rome they are men.
They should be able to take stick, I've only heard a few things like bald fraud, n lately a vile rat said on here, I've heard a lot worse said in the pubs n at the game not just about LFC n slot though, in fact you are right with people hiding behind keyboards, but if we don't say anything then this will continue.they're was a saying when I was younger about he who shouts the loudest gets heard n that's very true,

The only real influence a supporter can make is at the ground. This was proven the other week, at the Fulham game, with protests about ticket price increases. This involved holding up a card, not buying anything in the ground (not greatly adhered to), and singing that FSG were a bunch of greedy persons. This all got the job done.
Calling Slot a bald fraud on a forum he's probably never heard of and never likely to look on will never bring about the change we all want. However, like I say, I'm not the Pope, and definitely not woke, so if by calling Slot baldy and a rat makes people feel better, then carry on, but it won't bring about change.
