That's what we should be remembering. Pity the coach and club decided to 'experiment' with a league winning team. So so much worse defense than Leicester. They didn't invest what LFC have invested.
What a shambles it's become this season, plus we lose legends at the same time.

I believe it's called evolution or regeneration.
Do you think Ian Rush should still be playing up top?
23 May 2026 21:15:05
Westend, how did our evolution go this season? s**** seems to be the consensus, but you jump in and give the positives?
23 May 2026 21:23:43
West end, it didn't need evolution, it needed a tweak here n there, not a cull.
23 May 2026 21:26:33
Probably not as planned.
Does everything you plan go as you envisaged?
23 May 2026 21:39:35
Evolution, new owners ???

These guys (Slot, Edwards and Hughes) are getting paid too much money to make such monumental mess ups.
As for ex-Arsenal average midfielder and sham of a Rangers manager as assistant coach, just emphasises how poor the decision making has been this season.
Isak was an extremely poor decision. What project did Slot sell to Wirtz? Because it definitely wasn't this.
23 May 2026 22:12:51
WestEndRed, I think you meant 'de-evolution' or 'degradation'.
What's Rush got to do with it? Or age? The average age of the players we sold last summer was 24.
23 May 2026 22:21:06
So, because you get paid a lot of money, you can't make any mistakes? Interesting take on life, and generally how successful people reach the top of their profession.
Backroom staff should be chosen on their ability to do the job they are employed to do.
I don't think it is relevant that someone may have been, in your words, "an average ex-Arsenal midfielder" (just listen to yourself on that statement alone).
As for the sell to Wirtz, Slot may have said, next year will be tough, but then, here we go! I don't know for sure.
23 May 2026 22:49:16
I definitely meant evolution, and used Rush as a point of reference.

Don't get why Isak was an 'extremely poor decision'. Who could have predicted he would break his leg? At least give the lad a full season in red before suggesting he's a flop.
24 May 2026 02:02:05
Isak will come good.
Top scorer next season for definite.
24 May 2026 05:28:00
Despite a broken leg, Isak has played 22 games this season and showed one glimpse of what we were expecting.
He hardly touches the ball, and he downed tools like a spoilt baby at Newcastle.
We are paying vast sums for people to keep making mistakes, when they should be keeping mistakes to a minimum. There is a huge difference.
Now we are about to drop another £90m on a one-season wonder.
A FIFA fanboys dream scenario.
As for GvB, he was no Ray Kennedy and he definitely did not do what he was bought for, which was to replace Manu Petit.
Managerially, he won the league for Feyenoord (sound familiar?), failed at Rangers, won a cup at Besiktas and then drops down to assistant coach. Hardly inspiring stuff.
24 May 2026 06:29:27
Isak will never be top scorer with that fraud in the dug out.
24 May 2026 07:00:16
@SrE, How much do you pay Slot, Hughes and Edwards?
24 May 2026 08:23:25
Kippers, have a day off lad.
24 May 2026 11:11:44
Darwin, Isak was a poor decision because he cost a fortune, he's built like Mo Farah and made of crisps. I said he was an accident waiting to happen from day 1. He was always going to be targeted more after his high profile move to us.
24 May 2026 12:03:08
Chewy, he was built like Mo Farrah and made of crisps at Newcastle a year ago. Are you saying he wasn't targeted there?
