Alex Scott in a Bournemouth side was full of energy, against teams that were allowing open play and football to exist.
However, in a Liverpool side who often play low blocks, does that player profile still work as more of your time is figuring out breaking down opponents? That’s when a deeper playmaker may suit more.

Yes, it will be a transition.
But, you can create counter-pressing situations in how you press in multiple situations and how you can create those moments.
I am intrigued to see how Iraola adapts this.
For sure, the energy is about to pick up. :)

Fat Spanish waiter .our midfield during Klopp years was Hendo, Fabinho and Gini (Millie), they were required to plug gaps and retain possession and move it foreword. This is low block is not a new phenomena, I am sure Iraola will adapt, and having players that press and have fitness will help to reinstall that fear factor.

Alex Scott will be another Charlie Adam, I think.

I'm sure Iraola has played against low blocks this season when the lower teams in the league were trying to scrape a point.

Andoni models himself on Del Bosque. He was the manager who won Spain's first World Cup in 2010. He is also the only manager to have won the World Cup, the Champions League, the European Championship and the Intercontinental Cup.
Andoni played 7 games in the Spanish National Team from 2008-11, where he openly admits he has based himself on Del Bosque's methods/systems.
Andoni plays "In to Out" football. When he doesn't have the ball it's mainly a 4-5-1= "In" reducing space and gaps. When he has possession it's "Out". He then makes the pitch bigger, and more space for his side ( like spread "Out").
Unlike Jurgen, who preferred 4-3-3, Andoni is more a 4-2-3-1. Jurgen only played with one number 6.
Andoni prefers two holding midfielders (No 6s).
Andoni, since Opta Stats began, has had the most shots at our goal at Anfield.
I honestly believe he purposefully held his Bournemouth team back at the tail end of the last season, as it would not have looked nice to pip us for the last UCL place. So he has in fact done himself a very big favour and LFC by having UCL football next season rather than Europa League (Thursday Night), and yet to sign on the dotted line, such is the football acumen of Andoni.
I have no doubts whatsoever. If he is backed, he will emulate Sir Bob Paisley, as that's his same "character" and mannerisms. He will do as well as Jurgen but in a totally different way.

Well this is my time to plug my favorite player who can do it all!!
JAMES GARNER!!
Compared him to Alex Scott and Garner's per90 stats are better in these categories:
Assists - 0.2 - 0.1
Chances created : 1.5 - 0.9
passing accuracy : 87% - 84%
Long pass accuracy : 45% - 40%
Open Play crosses : 0.9 - 0.3
Forward passes : 15 - 11 (ed25 are you watching!? )
Backwards passes : 7.7 - 9.5
Tackles made : 3.2 - 1.9
Aerial duels success : 65% - 54%
Ground Duel Success : 60% - 55%
Interceptions : 1.6 - 1.2
Touches : 69 - 63
I know it'll never happen *sigh* but Garner is a cracking player and would slot straight into our midfield and instantly make us more combative without compromising our creativity
{Ed025's Note - stats can be very misleading Faith, i go by what i see with my own eyes mate, its a tried and tested method and i will leave all this XG and all that nonsense to the anoraks, Jimmy is a good player for me nothing more nothing less..
