They gazumped Inter at the latter stages. Romano said the player was happy to go to either, but would go to where Atalanta would decide. They chose Chelsea. We probably were interested, but not the priority area.

Maybe a) We didn't want him, b) couldn't agree terms, c) thought he was overpriced or d) he preferred Chelsea or maybe a combo.

Shame this unless we have a good alternative lined up. I think it is a priority for us. We struggled massively there last season, Connor is unlikely to be fit for the majority of any season, and we need to build more cohesion down that right side. We also need to play Szob, and Curtis if he's still here, in midfield.

If anything, it will be the price. He's a fantastic prospect imo. Xabi Alonso has pulled off a coup there despite not being in Europe.

I was under the impression he was going to Inter until now. I know we were looking at him, but I don't recall anybody claiming we were anywhere close to a deal.

As I've stated before, the move wasn't complete to Inter because his preference was us. Chelski are interested, but nothing is agreed. I know his agent has been in contact with us recently, it's possible we could hijack the move.

I still rate Bradley. He's coming back from a horrible injury, but I think if he leaves the injuries behind he's the right back going forward.
