Can’t believe it’s a year since we lost Jota. Not a lover of Ronaldo and thought the Croatia decision was harsh. But loved the tribute from the Portugal team last night. RIP Diogo.

Last July 3, around 9 a.m., I was just walking into Morrisons car park when my mum rang me and said one of the Liverpool boys had died. I don't remember much of the morning's work.
I have driven that exact road on the way to Santander, and a lot of them in Northern Spain are full of potholes and undulations you wouldn't even get in England.
I have two Jota tops, and I wore one last night to have a curry and chat about Diogo's life. Happy memories of no.20.

This day last year, only a few hours after hearing the tragic news about Jota, I got a phone call to say a friend of mine died in an accident in America. This will forever be a sad day.
