100% a striker will be signed this window. The club cannot depend on Isak, Gakpo and the youth team and Ekitike is likely out til at least the new year.
The club does not want to spend huge money so I can see them looking for a cheaper player with potential that can hopefully take their chance at the big time.
I think Kaio Jorge of Cruzeiro fits that template and would cost under £40 million. Top scorer in Brazilian League last season and only 24.
Thiago of Brentford would likely cost too much which is a pity as he would do really well at Liverpool.
Has anyone heard of any strikers Liverpool are monitoring?

Pretty sure Kaio Jorge flopped in Italy as a youngster, not heard much of him since then.
If we're signing a CF, I think it'd need to be a young player who knows he's not going to be first choice. No striker playing well elsewhere is going to sign to be backup to Isak, and then probably behind Ekitike when he's back.
I think Munoz might get his fair share of starts as CF, he's quite stocky for a wee fella, and Iraola isn't someone who plays with a target man anyway.

I think it's much more likely that we buy a winger who can also play as a striker.
Someone like: El Mala, Kroupi JR, Barcola etc.

I work for Cruzeiro and can tell you 100% Caio will not be signing.
The club did have some reps here about 6 months ago to talk about a potential multi club thing, but I don't think it panned out much, and since then Liverpool have had zero contact with Cruzeiro.
