Can I suggest that, say, if an ITK thinks we are going to sign someone, rather than say stuff like 'negotiations are ongoing' the say something like, 'my mate was at AXA for some business and got talking to the lad on the front desk, who said '.
It'll make it more fun and also will mess withe the minds of the generation that expects a solute certainty whenever they want to know something.

Trying to get the lad on the front desk the sack?

I don't think solute means what you think it means.

Wdw, or how about other posters just grow up and treat posters with respect, and not hang on every word an itk says... It is all about fun, and, as has been said before, nothing is absolute.

I agree @LBC, I don't think solute is a word I've never seen before. I was aiming at 'solution'.
I'd be happy with the 'growing up' solution @MOT, but I have to say I'm not optimistic.....
