Now that the Bhattia consortium's 30% purchase has been confirmed, I'd suspect they'd like to be seen as hitting the ground running and a couple of the long rumoured signings to follow quickly.

Wdw, exactly what I'm thinking. The next 2 sponsorships will probably be huge, plus we already bring in more money than Villa or Newcastle, who are handicapped by PSR as they don't generate as much. Might be wrong on this.

I think Bezos' interests are in broadcasting rights. Being an insider rather than an outsider helps.
