Romano confirms that Liverpool pulled out of the Minteh deal. Said we offered the first bid weeks ago and the second bid the other day. He said other options available. Pushing to complete Barcola deal and both clubs have been in constant contact since Saturday.
He smiled as he said just now waiting for the here we go, so as Victor said it must be done and now waiting for clubs confirmation. I wonder if we pulled out of Minteh Togo back for Mbaye.

Agree Ed, he can also play on the right which is a huge bonus that most of our wingers right now don't have. I think he would be as good as Barcola and both could consistently start together with Isak as a great top 3

Agreed ED0666. From the little I have seen of him he'd be a great purchase if we don't sign Rayan. Which we won't.
{Ed0666's Note - I’m fully expecting Jarod Bowen & Nat Clyde on Monday 5pm mate. Im not even joking. I truly hope Richard Hughes plays a blinder because I have more hope than faith at the moment. But as I say if you were to ask me what will happen I’d hazard a guess that it’s Mbaye and Barcola and hopefully Camara.

What do you thinks going wrong at pool atm? I understand Hughes will be leaving but I just can't understand how senior management/ board can't be disillusioned with the window we have just had? Everyone including my 3 year old son knows we need a CDM and yet there doesn't appear to be one targeted. I'm hoping we go for someone like Camara in the next few days but I have completely lost faith in our recruitment team.
I'm not going for Wirtz and Isak but how was Hughes able to pull those two signings off without anyone more senior questioning why we were changing our strategy and style of play so suddenly. Evolving is one thing but it feels like slot/hughes wanted a complete revolution which has hugely backfired.
{Ed0666's Note - thanks mate. I couldn’t tell you what’s gone wrong. But it seems like the holy trinity of slot, Hughes and Edwards have failed and the owners are just phasing them out and will start again until they find another recipe for success. I’m not sure the owners are to disillusioned as they’ve just made an astonishing and incredible profit on selling only 40% on their £300 million investment.

And I totally agree with you about Klopp. The only reason why Edwards, and by extension Hughes, came back was because Klopp left. If he was still around, our recruitment wouldn't be so bad.
