Ed001 I like that Iraola has not messed about with Gravenberch or Frimpong both started the season both awful in the opening two games both dropped.
The other night Gravenberch lost the ball more times than anyone and he only played 20 minutes or so.
I don't think it will be long before he is behind Trey Nyoni.
Both need to pick up or they will be gone I don't know about you Ed I do think if Gravenberch listens he can become a number 6 because I've seen glimpse but Frimpong Ed am 51 now and if still feel I've more of a chance than him lol ?.

I don't know what am over reacting with Faith Gravenberch was awful last season everyone see it in every game but still continued to start games.
Everybody started on a clean sheet this season Gakpo the biggest example of that and even Mac Allister both of them upped there games this season.
Gravenberch and Frimpong have carried on where they left off last season.
Kerkez I think is being given the benefit of the doubt because Iraola knows he can be better but I think it won't be long before he is sitting on the bench and once you are there I think when given the chance they have to prove they can be better if not I don't think Iraola is going to keep giving them chance after chance.
He can't afford that he is knew in the job so no credit in the bank and I don't think he is going to let players that don't learn from there mistakes to take him down with them.

If Grav can work on his weaknesses, he has everything to be an elite midfielder. The wriggle and slalom running on its own is not enough to be a mainstay in midfield. He needs to be more aggressive, more switched on to danger and to improve his passing range.
He should take Curtis Jones' stagnation as an example of what will happen if he doesn't round his game out.

Id rather see Frimpong further up the field. Play him as a starter against Spurs maybe.

If he doesn't improve I can see us being stuck with Grav because I can't see anyone else paying him those wages (£280k pw I think). Still hoping he can turn it around though. He was v good the year we won the league.

I said this before and I completely agree with the OP; Gravenberch was as bad as I've ever seen him in that game vs. Atletico. It was very weird; don't know if he didn't care, if he was angry, or if he was trying too much.
Whatever it was, it was sparingly bad. Felt like he completely forgot he was a footballer! I actually felt sorry for him.
