Wirtz scored tonight Ed. Can we talk about him now?
{Ed033's Note - Sure, go ahead.

Well taken goal, lovely touch to take it round the defender, looked sharp, hit the post in the first half too, hopefully serves as a well-timed confidence boost for the City game.

It seems pretty standard these days for our players to play better for their country than they do for Liverpool.

That's because international footy is easier than Premier League footy.
What formation and position did Klopp play him in, anyone know?

I'm pretty sure you can find the game on social media @ Stoneage.

stoneage, Klopp went with a 433 according to the tellybox, with Wirtz on the left side of a midfield 3, but he had a huge amount of freedom, constantly coming inside and out to the right even, and way up top with Woltemade at times, so whatever he was on paper, he was really playing as a 10, favouring that half space off to the left as he usually does.

That's how he played at Leverkusen - well the little bits I have seen - basically on the left but with a licence to rove about.
Ideally he could do that for us, with Dom in the middle BB on the right but with all inter changing during the match and Trey and Macca behind them stepping up as needed when we are attacking.

Wirtz won't make it in the Premier League wrong type for the prem.
Better suited to Spain or back to Germany in Munich.
