I would be stunned if we made that signing, how are we going to get that deal done in less than 5 days when Man utd have tried and failed to buy him all summer?

We are going to be heavily linked with every midfielder going now, thanks to Klopp's soundbite.

That will only lead to more outrage and anger if we fail to sign anybody at all.

I look forward to a lot of click bait links between now and the end of the transfer window.

kingkenny7, you're right. I'd add that it will leave the fanbase underwhelmed if they get anyone not as high profile as the ones we are linked with. Has anyone not ever spoken with Klopp on what and how he communicates with the media? Sometimes he sets himself and the club up for embarrassment with his statements.

Why should anyone have to speak to Klopp about the way he handles his media communicatons?
To stop getting transfer obsessed fans hopes up?
If certain fans are gullible and easily led it sure ain't Klopp or anyone else's fault.

Well said Flash. Fans need to temper their expectations regarding transfers. I am not an expert but I would imagine buying players is a far more complicated procedure than years gone by. Without even considering the vast outlay required.
