Hi all,
Thanks to Carra and other posters sharing names we are interested in. Do I assume if Konate signs a new deal we won't bring in another CB?
Are we also looking at midfield, left back and right back options?

Konate signs new deal, so we preserved his value to be sold. I don't see a future for Konate in Liverpool defense.

Signing a new contract to preserve value rarely works. That's what we did with Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams, and they were stuck with us for a long time after that. Rhys Williams is still at the club on a relatively high wage, and will most likely leave on a free too.
If we want to part ways, now is the best time for that, with his contract running out and all.

If the club want to re-sign Konate, it won't be to preserve his value, it'll be because they see him as an ongoing starter / squad member.
