Wouldn't be a great business call by FSG. If they want to keep Slot on, they would do so & see how next season starts. If everything clicks, they could offer him a new contract then, if not they could wave him goodbye for a nominal amount.

Slot does not seem like he wants to carry on, if truth be told. He misses his family, and his 2 years he has done will set him and his family up for life.
Slot goes back to Holland after this season. Would not be totally surprised if he does not take the Dutch national job after World Cup if it comes available, what is a good chance.

In the Echo it said FSG has got rid of the team coach n five other coaches from the Red Sox, maybe they've been busy sorting out that n can now concentrate on LFC n sort out our next coach for the new season.

FSG owners are directly involved in the day-to-day management of the Red Sox.
That's not the case with LFC. That's Edwards and Hogan.
There is nothing to suggest Slot is leaving. If his two assistants are leaving, it will only be to strengthen Slot's hand.

Slot is a mid level manager with no other tools in the box. He had one vision, which failed, although the squad building was not his fault, and his man management skills are well below par. He simply does not demand respect as other managers do.
His set up is built as much around his need to get home as often as possible, as it is on his vision for the game.
The time off brigade are not fit enough for this league.
