It looks like my previous comment caused some misunderstanding. Slot is expected to leave, return to the Netherlands, and take a break from management.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are carrying out their due diligence — appointing a manager isn’t like picking sweets from a shop. Extensive background checks and discussions are part of the process. I stand by my original post: talks with Alonso are ongoing.

It is a rumour site after all, so keep it coming. I did comment on your previous post, but that was more out of disbelief at the club carrying out due diligence this late, rather than disbelief at the rumour itself.
For me, that would suggest a disorganised and reactive approach, rather than proper forward planning, especially if they only started carrying out the necessary checks now, despite the poor results and managerial change rumours starting back in October.

Thanks as always for what you've heard. Change is definitely needed. I have been supporting LFC since the early seventies and been to Anfield many a time and some away games. More difficult now I am on the south coast, but I have never felt so low about performances and the direction of the team...
