We're finally taking bids for Endo and opening up squad space to register another non-homegrown player. Fulham is apparently interested in him as an experienced midfielder to provide cover for Sander Berge and replace Sasa Lukic. West Ham is also reportedly showing interest.

We have Nyoni at CDM as a fallback for Gravenberch, therefore it makes sense. Endo was really poor in the CB position against Monaco, and now, considering we have Arujo, he is surplus. Jones is homegrown and is leaving, and, considering our options, it will be hard to find a homegrown player as a replacement. Therefore, the space needs to be created.

You can sign a home grown player such as Scott, Spence (for RB). It's in the PL rules, otherwise there would never be a PL transfer of an English player to any PL club! (Rogers, Anderson etc)
I would be happy with Scott for Jones, and having played already for Andoni slots (not Arne) straight in, just needs a shirt number and ready to play.

Don't see Scott coming until at least the January transfer window. An alternative to Scott is Camara - but he is not English.

Scott is not a defensive midfielder, neither is Gravenberch, and 007, there is no situation where that petulant Jones should be starter in a midfield pairing in the league, not one. Absolutely dreadful in that position him. No brains, no physicality and no defensive awareness. We are pretty crap in midfield whether anyone wants to admit that or not.

@VV, is Grav not a DM? I don't think he's as attacking as Macca and Dom are, and is very defensive minded. As for Scott, if we were to bring him in it would be for Macca. Personally, depending on how we go this season, I think Rayan should be brought in, and doubt that Bournemouth are going to allow us to take two of their best in the January window.
I agree with you on Jones tho - but I think unless we get Camara we're staying put.

We need a moratorium on talking about the midfield until Christmas. It just triggers VV and then the whole creche goes off.
