Hi folks.
I've been trying to get an update on my striker loan information from late last night but things are not moving quickly. However, I do have a small update. It's outright comical and embarrassing the state of affairs currently and the club have made a rod for their own back in terms of trying to salvage the window/squad for the following reason:
Liverpool were actively contacting known agents/good relations to scramble a right winger together (as Mbaye is considered too expensive) which has meant every agent and their granny have been trying to approach Liverpool with their clients (players), causing more disruption.
Everyone feels like they can make a quick buck off us due to the desperation. The Sarr (Palace) price quoted was a pi$$ take, but then again it is late in the window. It's how Camara (Monaco) was offered to us as well.
So, another name I was given - Mika Biereth (Monaco) was offered by his agent and was considered by Liverpool as striker cover, particularly useful as counts as homegrown, but Monaco will only deal with a permanent transfer and even then it's a bit late. Has the same agent as Elliott and it was thought a deal could be done. However, as Liverpool would prefer a loan, it hasn't been pursued.
If I hear anything else I'll share.

Villa have agreed 50m with PSG for Mbaye, so too expensive is utter rubbish.

What an absolute mess. A player who's needed in our team is going to a rival, whilst we faff about trying to sign an injured player. Guys, expect some pain this year. Slot lost the plot, but was it down to these clowns who gave him a very unbalanced squad?

@Big Hair Ape, Minteh is a better player than Mbaye and has Premier League experience. Mbaye may have a higher ceiling, but who knows.
@Dougie, Liverpool considered him too expensive at the price PSG wanted, and that's all there is to it. If Villa want to pay it, that's up to them.

@Dougie_Do_ins, You do know that PSG quoted us 70m for Mbaye right? There's some shenanigans going on. In any case, I'm glad we didn't do the deal. Very much prefer Minteh or Sarr over "potential".

Like I care. You either want the player or you don’t. If £20m really going to make all the difference, then Liverpool's problem is they haven’t moved enough players out. Elliott, Chiesa, Endo, Gakpo, McAllister will all need to be moved on to bring replacements in. If they want a RW then sell Rio as well, he'll want to play and will only be disruptive if he doesn't get a start.
There was a war chest to be raised but they are in total chaos behind the scenes, and that's on the ownership allowing idiots to remain in post when they have no interest in the outcomes as they are leaving anyway. Shambolic.

Any of Sarr, Minteh, or Rayan would be good. Minteh being injured is less appealing, as we need players to come straight in and make a difference now. Rio isn't going to do what's required from right wing, so we need another RW in this window.
