Hi Eds, first time poster but longtime reader on this site.
Do you know if the club are looking at the potential for loan signings given the current C.V. situation? We haven't really used the loan system in a while but could be a way to refresh the squad with a new face or two without committing massive financial outlays in the longterm. It could keep us ticking over until football and society gets back to a sense of normality.

I was just spitballing as its been noted klopp would like Thiago. Rather than commit to years for a player of that age, loan someone of his ilk for a season. Just until the dust settles on the c. v situation then go for someone of a younger age profile.

We haven't used the loan system because we don't need to anymore.
The days of papering over cracks in the squad with temporary signings are long gone. We've got the best first team in the world and a squad that only needs a few holes plugged, and those plugs won't be loan players.
The way of things now is a long-term project with new players given time to integrate into the squad, club, city etc. Half a season or even more, so loan signings are totally the opposite of that.
Aside from all that we also have excellent youth players coming through and any loan signing who would be given minutes would only take them away from the youth players, so again, there's no need or desire for that.

@CocoKlopps A similar ilk to Thiago on loan? You aren't going to find anyone close to his ability available for loan.
