Ed002, I know you’re probably sick of the questions regarding Bellingham but this one is more about transfers in general. You’ve said that Dortmund aren’t listening to offers until the summer but will interested clubs know the ballpark figure Dortmund would be looking for? Like would his agent know the figure for clubs enquiring?

{Ed002's Note - The two clubs who have spoken with Dortmund have been told that they are not looking to sell the player and are looking for a new contract. If he were to be sold it will be something like €150M.}

Thanks for the reply Ed. You might not want to open up the can of worms but are the clubs Liverpool and Real Madrid?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Are Liverpool one of the clubs eds2?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Yeovil and Kettering Town? Ed002.

I remember watching Kettering lose 3-0 to Arsenal many many moons ago.

Stupid question asking if Liverpool have spoken to the club. We strictly speak to the player and get them on the big dipper in Blackpool to conclude our transfers.

Hopefully we have queue jump passes for him aswel
Monkey mad.

Chill he’s coming to Liverpool. He’s on my Christmas list.

8.) 06 Dec 2022

Why would Liverpool speak to Dortmund when they can speak to Bellingham's father in Birmingham?

9.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 02:29:36
Must be chelsea and Mancs.

10.) 06 Dec 2022

I'd put money on Chelsea and City.

11.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 08:36:34
Personal, no basis opinion, Bellingham is not coming to Anfield apart from playing against us when he joins City or Chelsea. The cost - if Ed002 is to be believed - is way too high and TBH we need more than one player in that position which we could easily do if we had over £100m to play with and were savvy over how we spent it.

12.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 10:31:07
City can sell Grealish and probably get a big fee as he's English and put that towards Bellingham. They also don't need to reinforce in any other position. Really the only options we could sell are TAA or Salah to bolster our coffers but if we did sell either we immediately need to replace those along with needing more than one in midfield so unless a wealthy owner willing to shell out huge money arrives it does seem hard to agree with you guys that Bellingham is coming. His cost would be in the region or higher than what we payer for 'both' VVD and Allison.

06 Dec 2022 11:49:34
Who in their right mind would buy Jack G?

14.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 12:19:14
We had the money there in the summer for Tchoumeni so no excuse for not having the funds for Bellingham who clearly wants the Liverpool move.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool did not make an offer for Tchoumeni nor did they even speak with Monaco.}

15.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 13:13:20
I have a fear Ali could be sold to fund transfers relatively soon.

16.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 13:19:24
My fear is we may sell Ali to fund transfers. It’s logical

Best in the world

We have a replacement that seems relatively comparable in skill and that the fans are already behind. Should be said he’s no Ali and kelleher could go either way still so it’s a gamble that could work out or crash and burn dramatically.

17.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 15:09:42
At that price I wouldn’t want Jude TBH. Yes I know it’s not my money but ed002 has already said the owed monies are rising and I don’t think we should be spending that amount of money on any one player, no matter how good they are. Doubly so given he is still so young and not proven in the English league. A massive gamble that I don’t think the owners will back unless we end up as another state owned club. Much rather we bring in 2-3 other top level talents for midfield and Salah cover/ competition with that money, if it’s even available which I personally doubt.

18.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 16:24:44
Thought It's been said on here we had the funds ready for Tchoumeni but he chose Madrid?

19.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 16:57:01
Retro, no way. Kelleher is decent as a back up but he is no where near the level of Allisson.

It would be like selling Xabi Alonso and replacing him with Gareth Barry. Oh wait.

Record revenue this year lads, he's coming. don't 4get we've gotten Elliott, Carvalho, Gordon, Doak and Bajcetic all in the last couple of yeads for under £15m. Them 5 along with Bellingham are going to play a big part over the next years. Its getting young bargains like them in that will allow the club to go big if they really want someone.

21.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 18:29:57
Revenue and profit aren’t the same thing though Jude….

22.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 18:48:50
I get that Johnny, but saying we can't afford him isn't true. We can afford him. And the other part of my post is true too, how much would the big clubs be willing to pay for a 19 year old Elliott who's been everpresent this season? tens of millions i'd suggest, but we can't keep always expecting to find diamonds we have to be prepared to pay the odd huge fee for talents such as Bellingham. There was a time when the likes of him wouldn't have even considered joining us.

23.) 06 Dec 2022
06 Dec 2022 22:31:06
If we want to stay a big club, got to start acting like one, our owners are worth billions, let them had out a fraction of that to land Bellingham, they're going to make an absolute fortune when the sale goes through . No excuse any more.

24.) 07 Dec 2022
07 Dec 2022 12:32:16
Been no excuse since we won the CL RedPort, been let down for long enough.

25.) 07 Dec 2022
07 Dec 2022 17:45:03
We work on a hand to mouth basis, Ed has said this repeatedly. The budget is always a comparatively smallish figure plus sales. And given we need a pretty substantial overhaul of our midfield and possibly another centre back (given that Matip is getting on a bit), €150m on one player seems profligate and highly unlikely in context of our current model.

So unless FSG sell up to new owners (and not selling to the private equity types like HBSE or Pagliuca or nonsense like bringing in “strategic partners”) then I can’t see how we realistically go about signing Bellingham and repairing our issues, as it would mean selling at least one crown jewel player like Allison to get even close to raising the funds to do that.

Mediocrity like Ambrabat is more likely, as well we Europa conference football with that kind of player.

26.) 07 Dec 2022
07 Dec 2022 19:38:48
Ed002 you said liverpool did not talk to Monaco but did they talk to the players representatives then, as klopp was blatent in a press conference about the lad wanting real madrid over liveroool so there must of been some communication ?.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp went to Monaco and spoke directly with the player. Hence the complaint.}

27.) 07 Dec 2022
07 Dec 2022 21:35:26
I'd be happy with Bellingham on his own Victor, none of the players expected to leave can't be replaced by the youngsters already at the club.

Let’s wait and see what clubs have been active with BD one or two may be made to look a little stupid on this site thank god.
