Cant help feeling we could do with a reliable centre back in january . Current crop bar van dijk can't play 10 games in a row without injury, and even vvd needs rest as shown today .

Agree Matip and Lovren seem to pick up a lot of niggling little injuries and Joe sadly has had a few serious ones. I think if we were to bring one in then that would spell the end of Lovren. What centre backs are out there that are good enough, fit the right price and are available though?

Who could we buy? Quality centre backs are never going to be available in January, there is no point buying mediocre defenders. Liverpool need to use the squad but I do agree that Klopp maybe needs to think about the defence in the Summer. Matip is due back shortly anyway, so its all good.

Actually almost the whole Napoli is up for sale so if we want we got prob get Koulibaly but it would cost significant.

So many sides need a top CB including Man Utd, Arsenal and even Man City so I can't see us getting one to move to Liverpool to compete with our current setup where effectively we have 3 good players competing for one spot.

I think we just have to pray VVD is Ok and the others recover soon.

Tottenham have a couple of centrebacks whose contract is up in the summer. Might het one of those for a reasonable fee.

I thought last season we could do with the same especially when we lost gomez, but matip stepped up too the plate big time an showed how good he is, my worry is losing vvd an if we could bring in an experienced winner on loan or buy it could be an inspirational move .

If we buy a cb it means we will have 5 senior cbs. Its too many really. The whole point of having enough cover is incase we have injuries. We have had injuries and the boys have covered. It could be very expensive if we buy cover for the cover. Where does it end?

I think it shows the quality of the squad that even though we have 2 cbs out (3 with vvd) we still field a strong back line.
