Ed001
Was at the game last night, and couldn’t help but notice that TAA was very sluggish again, prior to his injury and substitution.
He has been like that for a few weeks now, do you think his head has been turned and that he is no longer vested into the Liverpool or Slot way.
I like the lad and couldn’t blame him for taking the cash and the lifestyle in Madrid, but if he has stopped caring, I would also get what we could in January, with Bradley stepping in as a dependable solution, albeit it with a lot to learn.
{Ed001's Note - no, he has been carrying an injury.}

His form has dropped off in last month or so, good thing last night though was that Robby had his best game in a while and Connor was solid enough when he came on. The squad is showing its value.

Have to say Robbo was good yesterday - maybe the rest of being in and out the team has done him good. Hopefully Trent gets a couple weeks now to recover - tbh if he was carrying an injury he should have withdrawn from the last England squad anyway.
He’s definitely on his way though - I think he will be thinking winning the league this year would be the perfect send off and justification so would expect him to give his absolute all between now and the end of the season rather than his attitude going the other way.

Trent might not be playing great passes like he usually does but his defending has been much better this year, especially his one on ones. last year he was easy to get past.
{Ed025's Note - really??, i dont see any improvement myself mate..
10 Nov 2024 10:49:32
Won’t say Bradley had a very good game. He was beaten a few times.
10 Nov 2024 11:01:45
Who's been beaten more recently Harry, Bradley or Guardiola?
10 Nov 2024 11:25:56
I thought Bradley had a decent game last night. He’s not made many appearances and the Slot full backs are a lot more controlled than bombing forward which is a shame as that is Bradley’s strength.
Of course he was beaten a few times. Professional football clubs usually pick wingers that are extremely quick and tricky.
We seem to believe that Salah, Diaz and Gakpo beat their full backs because our players are class and then opposition wingers beat our full backs because our full backs are crap.

Ah now ed25 trents defending has improved no end this season, day and night compared to last 2 seasons.
Granted on the ball he hasn't been his usual self but defensively he's been v good.
{Ed025's Note - we will have to agree to disagree on that one Digger, i want him to do well mate but i think he has a lot of flaws in his game..
10 Nov 2024 12:57:20
Well opposition would be raving about their wingers @JK Lol.
10 Nov 2024 13:10:15
Did u see everton game yesterday ed25? Seen bits of it, of what I seen 1st half v poor game, 2nd bit better. Pickford made great save at end to get the point for everton.
No.10 looks a v good player for use.
{Ed025's Note - it was a very poor game Digger, 2 poor teams eking out a 0-0 draw was about right mate, West Ham looked worse than us actually and thats saying something, Ndiaye looks a good player but i dont think in this side managed by a dinosaur we will see the best of him..

Ed025 last season n season bfr wingers were just going past him n he looked stationary. this season he seems on the ball defending wise he has improved a lot IMHO. his passing has gone a been hit n miss this year though . but for me personally i like defenders to defend first n then if they can pass like trent that's the added bonus.
{Ed025's Note - look Stromgodset i think hes a really good kid, the work he has done for the Whitechapel project and Zoe,s place has been tremendous, but as a defender he still seems a bit short to me mate, he has lapses in concentration and hes not very good in the air imo, but its ok to disagree as its all about opinions, which to me means im right and you are wrong my friend.. :)

Shughes55, Trent's been carrying an injury. This has been common knowledge for weeks now. Him being sluggish or being a bit off with his passing and running has nothing to do with Madrid, money or whatever.
11 Nov 2024 05:19:31
Oli, you say common knowledge but I didn’t know?
If he is injured he should be dropped and allowed to recover.
His defending has been poor and he looks sluggish all the same, the talk of Madrid, contract offers/ refusals cannot be helping his game either.
{Ed001's Note - Slot said a few times that he is carrying a knock and his defending has been really good this season.}
10 Nov 2024 22:44:29
ED025.hahah that's like Tony Montana from Scarface saying . I'm always right even when I'm wrong.
{Ed025's Note - me and him are twins mate.. :)
11 Nov 2024 15:01:38
Ed0025 with some of your statements i'd say Tony Montana does less drugs though lol.
{Ed025's Note - i do alcohol and ciggies if that counts JK?, but i think i may have to start taking anti- depressants watching Everton every week mate.. :)
