The amount of transfer activity expected on here is way off the mark, how will our those in charge manage 10 or 11 transfer activities when they have managed 2/ 3 in the last 2 years.
I expect 4 players maximum through the door.
Nunez and Tsmimkas most likely to leave.
The fringe players will stay because they are happy to be just that.
Trent will go Bradley will replace him, If salah and VVD want lengthy contracts as rumoured they should leave, I think replacements have already been sounded out.

I agree with you but your 3 best players leaving, plus your striker and back up left back, to replace them with 4 players in a squad that's already too thin to compete on multiple fronts would be suicide.
The worry is, I actually agree that we won't be making 7/ 8/ 9 signings, it's not how we work, or any club (except Chelsea and Forest) to be honest.

The problem is if the replacements for Van Dijk and Salah are as rumoured, next season is going to be a tough watch and that’s being generous.

We have been sat on our hands and now we are struggling with numbers to complete, I think we have a good chance with Huijsen and Hato, Slot wanted a central midfielder so I’m sure one will arrive as for a Nunez replacement I’ve no idea we could be priced out for Isak. i think a couple of youngsters will play more plus the return of Bajcetic.

Elliott and Gomez will be looking to leave for playing time in a World Cup year especially. Chiesa too for that reason. Kelleher will be off. Konate and Diaz 12 months left so it’s either new contract or sell. We’ll need a right back if Trent goes obviously we can’t just say replace him with Bradley who’s already here and misses lots of games. There will probably be big changes.
24 Mar 2025 14:20:29
VVD and Salah will stay. Even we are not that stupid.
24 Mar 2025 14:39:16
I don't think they will mark, I hope you're right but I just can't see it at this point. Fingers crossed though, will be a massive weight off in the transfer window if they stay.
24 Mar 2025 14:42:59
I don't agree Mark.
There's no way you keep quiet about the contracts of your captain and best player who are free to leave in 9 games time, while in the middle of a title race if they were signing.
I think the silence is as much confirmation as you need that all 3 are leaving.
24 Mar 2025 14:48:15
I’ve supported Liverpool for 50 years there will not be big changes. its not the Liverpool way.

Clee Red - I accept that recent history tells us we don't do much in transfer windows. However, we have way too many contract challenges for it not to be a busy one - either with extensions or sales/ replacements.
Darwin and Tsimikas appear to be nailed on to leave and will be replaced.
If Trent goes, Bradley will need a backup at the very least. Joe Gomez and Jarrell Quansah are not right backs.
If Diaz and Jota stay, then we either have to extend their deals OR let them run them down. Not something I expect us to do.
Endo, Gomez, Chiesa and Elliott will also be asking themselves if they want to stick around to not be used. If they decide to go, we will need to go into the market again.
If Virg and Mo are to leave, we have to do even more work.

I think the likes of Kelleher, Tsimikas, Gomez, Doak, Endo, Nunez and possibly Diaz will be sold.
Maybe Huijsen, Kerkez or Hato, Isak and Jiao Gomes will be bought.
24 Mar 2025 16:47:04
Given the rumours and situation of squad players such as phillips, Danny, doak Williams we could end up with bare bones.
24 Mar 2025 16:48:25
Exactly Pelican, not to mention Konate - a chance he'll also leave.
24 Mar 2025 17:55:13
The window is about eight weeks long, so we’d have to do about one signing a week to replace the three out of contract players, the two or three who are likely to be sold (Nunez, Diaz, or Jota ), and a couple of incomings that we need at left back and centre mid.
Unless we’ve got a few tied up already it just isn’t going to happen and we’ll either be left short until Jan, or will have to keep a few players who ideally we would have sold. That’s without looking further into the squad and either promoting a few, or keeping the likes of Chiesa, Harvey and Endo who we also may have expected to leave.
Quite a lot of this is due to the transition after Jurgen, but it also highlights we could have done with at least one first teamer being bought either last summer or Jan. Given Kerkez age and contract length I can't see he’ll be any cheaper in the summer, same with Isak and the likes of the Ajax player so we may as well have gone in for them before now.

I have absolutely no inside knowledge but here is my take on transfers.
Kelleher, Tsimikas, Nunez will leave along with Salah and Trent.
Hota to arrive beck/ chambers to move to first team
VVD to stay but huijsen to come in if he leaves
A top draw centre mid will arrive Slot wanted one before the season started and he still does (Grav looks exhausted or found out)
A striker I hope is Oismhen.
A Forward to replace Salah
Bradley will replace Trent no new right back to arrive.

I think Allison will leave. The club will accept a big offer from Saudi due to his injury record.
Fabulous player when fully fit but vulnerable to hamstring injuries. That's why they were so keen to keep Jaros as a number 3 this season. They knew Ali would be out for a period of games at some point. Interesting that he hasn't always been taking goal kicks in recent games.
No way Mamardashvila comes in as a number 2. Not going to happen!
IMO.

Actually Clee Red, the so called “Liverpool way” died out at the end of the 80’s and really hasn’t returned and by that we’d do 3 or 4 arrivals, maybe one who was first team ready and refresh what was there, but 2 others who we’d develop to be first team players over the next year or two (Whelan, Rush, Nicol etc being perfect examples) . We do have form for going out and getting loads of players in one go in recent history, 1999 prob the best example when we signed Hyypia, Henchoz, Westerveld, Camara, Smicer, Meijer and then brought in Hamann, and only really Meijer wasn’t a regular starter from that group.
