Quick Question for Eds, Carra or Fields.

Appreciate this may be a little tricky to answer but as it seems any move for Isak is tricky as effectively they need replacements in before they're prepared to let him go.

Do you think they'd be happy to let him go if they signed Wissa or do you think they may wait until they've brought 2 forwards in to replace Wilson as well?

Understand it's difficult to be sure but my assumption is that we won't hear a great deal more about this deal until Newcastle have signed one or two more forwards.?

Thanks in advance.

If Newcastle have any nuts left in them they wouldn’t let Isak leave this window. They will drop to 8th position if they sell Isak. Isak is their VVD.

London_red, are you a Newcastle fan in disguise?

He’s just a Troll.

So anybody not wanting to wear red-tinted glasses while being a liverpool fan and posting here, is a troll? It's an opinion and he has every right to voice it; and I agree with him. If Newcastle do sell him then I don't see an attainable like for like replacement, therefore their table standing will probably go down. It's not a crazy stretch of any kind.

Thanks and couldn’t have agreed more @ArAy. Isak is world class. No amount of money is going to replace him. Newcastle are in CL and without Isak they are not finishing inside CL places for the upcoming season. You don’t need to be a Geordie to get that in your head.

23 Jul 2025 12:28:46
I wouldn't call him a troll, but to jump on every thread about Isak saying insisting that the nufc ownership don't want to sell, don't need to sell, and can easily engage in financial doping without having any actual knowledge on the matter or basis in fact does seem a little bit pointless.

Newcastle have been stung by a player wanting to leave and not being 'allowed' to (Gordon last season, his form drop this season has been attributed to the move that didn't happen) .

My belief is that if the price is right (and the conditions, ie being able to line up replacements in advance) they will sell.

But it may not even be before the season starts.

Again, just my view, let's see what happens. Even if he doesn't join, the investment we have done in our frontline should make us even stronger than last season.

I tend to agree with London Red (Harry? ) . I thought Newcastle would struggle this season anyway with CL football etc. Taking Isak out of the team just makes their job increasingly more difficult.

23 Jul 2025 12:48:30
Its tricky as is he really the Isak or Wilson replacement. Not going off anything other than my own thoughts but I would expect them to have them lined up, i. e. transfer offer accepted prior but honestly I don't know.

London red, that may be the case but there is probably 3 other teams Arsenal, Chelski, Citeh who will finish top 4. I also fancy Spurs to finish above them. So they won't make CL with him either. So pointless banging on about them selling him really.

Thefields, and scenario in which Nunez is the Isak replacement? Or does he want to leave the EPL altogether?

Zed as far as I'm aware he wants out of the prem.
