Just wondering how many free non home grown places we have currently?
Do we really need to be getting rid of some of Nunez, Chiesa, Robbo or Tsimi to make room for new players or will we buy someone like Guehi because he is Home grown rather than maybe a 'non homegrown' CB?
Just trying to understand the numbers and squad make up.

By my count we're on 17 senior non HG, not including Calvin Ramsay (cos I assume he's leaving without being replaced regardless) . So if we sign anyone non HG, we have to sell someone non HG.

McG, best place is to keep an eye on the Team page on the main LFC website.
GKs - Ali, Mamar and Woodman are the only overage players, 2 x non HG (Pecsi is U21)
Defence - Gomez, VVD, Konate, Tsimikas, Ramsay, Robbo, Rhys W, Bradley, Frimpong, Kerkez. Gomez, Rhys W, Bradley and Frimpong are HG (albeit I think Rhys W may go), also although Ramsay is non-HG (too much time in Scotland before 21), I think he may go too. So, we have 5 non-HG players (VVD, Konate, Tsimi, Robbo and Kerkez)
Midfield - Endo, Szob, Macca, Jones, Elliot, Gravenberch, Bajcetic, Morton. Jones, Elliot, Morton and Baj are HG, but I see 1-2 of them leaving. So we use up 4 non-HG slots here. So far that's 11 non-HG out of a total allowance of 17. Nyoni is likely to play a part, but he's U21
Attack - Nunez, Salah, Chiesa, Gakpo, Ekitike, Wirtz (Isak) . All of our forwards are non-HG, so we currently have 6 and Isak would make 7. Doak and Rio are U21s.
So, if we buy Isak and don't make any other sales, we will have 18 non-HG players - one too many.
However, places where we are likely to save on non-HG players are as follows:
Defence - I think Tsimi will end up going, probably towards the end of the window. Ramsay will be sold or go on loan, but he's not included in the 18 above. I think we will eventually get Guehi and another younger CB who will be U21 for this year at least.
Midfield - I can't see any of our non-HG midfielders leaving, although some of the HG ones may (Morton, Baj, Elliot - I actually think we will keep Elliot unless he's needed for the Isak deal) .
Attack - Nunez and Chiesa are the two I see leaving.
So, as things stand, we have 1 too many non-HG, but there are 3 included in that 18 who I can see leaving - Tsimi, Nunez, Chiesa. That would mean we have 15 overage non-HG players (including Isak) which means we have headroom if required.

Those likely to stay who you would expect to start or be on the bench is 14 non homegrown if you then add Tsimikas, Nunez and Chiesa there aren't any spaces left.
