Watching the first half of the second game, and a few things I noticed.
I really like szobo deeper, calm on the ball, powerful and he doesn’t half put a shift in.
Gakpo - I think he will be hugely effective for us this season, because of how good our right side will be. Wirtz and salah look like they’re developing a great understanding, and I think someone like Gakpo who knows how to get into the back post, and can (usually) finish well, will get a hatful. He may not be as technical, but the balance will be crucial.
Ekitike - I really like him. He’s got a bit of everything. Not sure he will be a 25 goal guy, but he offers a lot.
Only thing that is a little worrying at this time is defensive reinforcements, need a CB sharpish!

Centre Back. Essential.
I have been droning on about this need for months and months.
Cannot get Guehi. Then go for Giovanni Leoni.?
This position could well be our Achilles Heel.! 3.

I’m not sure why it’s not been prioritised since quansah left. Especially a young a centre back having time to adapt. If we get guehi soon, it may all make sense, but I get the feeling we need 2, defenders, if Bradley keeps picking up niggles too.

After this summer window they are not going to leave CB short.

I am confident that there will be CB incomings before the end of the window. Ed’s have said as much and the recruitment team have def earned our trust.

There will be a CB recruited cos we are prolly still looking at Guehi and other younger options, I gathered.
