I am glad Guehi stay at Palace. So far we have players with desire and character to challenge in higher competitions. All our signings this window has common mentality, thus to play for Liverpool and challenge in major trophies. Even 19yrs old G. Leoni couldn't wait to leave his comfort home to join the club.
If Guehi wanted to joined Liverpool him and his management would been clear about it for almost 3 months now he was linked to us. He's comfortable at Palace and Glasner system which doesn't exposed him at one on one, and there's no expectations and pressure to win at Palace, a bit of success now and then is huge achievement for them.
We have multi functioning players and a manage capable of effecting potent changes and subs. There's already competition at the center back even if Gomez doesn't stay fit and Konate continue his dip in form. Slot already praised Leoni who will get minutes now, even Grav looked decent at the back a couple of times he played there. We now have a lot of midfield options, Mac Alister, Grav, Szobo, Jones, Nyoni, Wirtz and Bajcetic when return from injury. So Grav can play at the back when there's need to.
I am super excited for the Isak deal which gives us more options up front as well.
I wouldn't go back for Guehi who doesn't trust himself for new challenge.

Well said. Guehi is a cuck. Believe in what we have now. The opportunity has gone for Gooey.

@Abu Don’t talk rubbish!

Let’s back Leoni and Jogo - one leaving home comforts at 19, and the other content to play whatever part is necessary. Guehi can put on a dress and dance for Glasner.

Can’t work out if that’s serious or a wind up. Respect the lad for acting like a professional and a club captain.
{Ed025's Note - hear hear..

What a load of Bollox Abu. Seriously.

Whatever faults I can find in Guehi as a footballer, and I do think he has a few, what I can’t question is his honesty and integrity, the fact he didn’t down tools shows he takes his responsibility as a captain seriously. I’d think we will revisit this again.

@Cardifred and @Slotin, i am sure you are going to boo Isak and Leoni for their desire to play for Liverpool, they are not professionals according to you.
You lot are only making assumptions and got excited for journos blogging because Guehi has one year to his contract so he wanted to joined Liverpool. What if he didn't want to join Liverpool which he does by staying at Palace. It's hypocritical to blame Glasner and Palace and praising Guehi for being professional. Trent did his dubious ways to leave it doesn't make him unprofessional, Diaz opened up his desire to leave and the club allowed him. There's nowhere Guehi expressed that he wanted to joined Liverpool even when the club has been tracking him.
About being Palace captain, Brenford, Everton, Fulham, Burnley etc have captains but they can only win something by chance. We have many captains at the club, Scottish, Egyptian, Hungarian etc captains. Pipe down your hype about Guehi. I'm not bitter with him staying at Palace. But all the club are playing with professional footballers.

Harry must be really bitter about Liverpool getting Isak.

@Abu, Palace blocked the move Guehi was on his way to have a medical and sign for us. You are basic silly opinions on an apparent lack of knowledge as to what was going on. Stop digging.

Abu, do you think that Guehi didn't agree to join Liverpool?
And he has the desire, character and mentality to lead CP to win a major trophy. CP doesn't win many major trophies.
