{Ed001's Note - mine would be similar, but I am obviously a bit younger as I can't remember Clem in a Liverpool shirt or Neal, other than in a bath with me ma on TV. Have to say, left-back is a weakness! Really difficult to think of anyone good in my time, other than Robbo. Absolutely no competition for him. Xabi Alonso is the best defensive midfielder I have ever seen, but he didn't reach those levels until he left us sadly or he would be in there.

Interesting points made,
Clem in one season only conceded 14 goals in league and that was 46? games, but…. Then back pass to goalkeeper was ok and they able to pick the ball up, less protection from Refs tho.
So I would go for Allison.
LB, Alec Lindsey? Was raved about but before my time. Robbo I agree although Crazy horse used to be LB at times, not consistently I gather.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Jan Molby in midfield.
Alonso used to get caught out sometimes being slow - playing the ball, getting caught out, bit like Mac has been mentioned on here for similar things.

Striker was the hardest pick for Fowler would have had it if that Knee injury did not effect him so much. Then if Suarez had stayed longer he would have been in for a great chance but Rush for me has to be there. Hunt and Keegan before my time so can’t judge them. Neal and Kennedy probably should be the fullbacks with all they won but as a kid growing up loved Nicol and Staunton‘a left foot was a wand one of the worst decisions a manager has made selling him for Dicks.

I can’t play these games I’ve been lucky enough to watch quality players in every position replaced over and over. But Alan Kennedy has to be in any team ( I love Robbo to bits) and clem over Alison just. ( if clem is a 99/ 100 then Ali is a 98/ 100 it’s that close)
