I'm not one to post but Arne, you've done yourself no favours. We turn in the best performance of our season against Madrid where we played on the front foot, pressed all over the pitch and had a clear attacking impetus. Against City the complete reversion, back to the rubbish we've watched from game one.
Negative in possession, played it backwards and zero attacking threat for large portions of the match. As always we looked to play when we're getting beat. Unless Slot stops with this mindset it's curtains for him.

What's with konate starting every game. He's making 2,3 major errors every game and his out play is terrible. Then slot throws gomez as a rb with 10 minutes to go on who slots apparently afraid of getting injured?!

@frode kippers, i agree 100% with you. A kick up the arse is needed to all the coaching staff.

It's also easier to win duels if you aren't weaker, slower and less aggressive than the opposition. I like Slot but he and the powers that be chose to assemble a squad with particular characteristics, without taking into account the demands of the league.
We spent £100m+ on a very skilled number ten with great vision, who melts like ice every time he is shoulder to shoulder with a defender. We spent £125m on a striker despite his record of constant minor injuries. We gave £400k a week to a player who has lost his pace (and unlike last season doesn't have enough runners around him to compensate for it) .
There are solutions to this within the squad to some extent, but he needs to be willing to drop big names. I can forgive today's lineup to some extent because the same players did well vs Madrid, but the message now is clear that in the PL, we must not pick players who are going to be bullied.

Slot doens't fancy Gomez at CB. I'd play him into fitness or until he breaks down. Hopefully Geuhi comes in Jan 1. Good RCB today they don't get the pen or two of their three goals.

Batman it’s pretty obvious he took Bradley off because he’s played all 3 games this week and had a history of injuries so he’s protecting him. He’s had to do it a few times with Bradley as he’s worked his way back from injuries but he normally has to put Szob there to cover.
He gets absolutely slaughtered for that but this time he used Gomez and gets criticised for that too.
One thing I don’t understand is why Isak didn’t get 15 minutes. If he’s fit enough for the bench then he’s fit enough to play the end of the game and we needed a goal. No doubt he didn’t want to risk him but then why have him on the bench?
It feels like all season Slot has been managing fitness and trying to prevent injuries to the detriment of the team. Maybe now is the time to just play your best team and accept that players will get injured from time to time.

Dr banana those issues you raised are correct but they are on Edwards and Hughes.

To be fair Batman, we had the Guehi transfer completed before Glasner pulled the plug.

The style of football this season in the prem is more direct and more physical than last season, we’ve bought pace and skill but not physically imposing players during the summer, a few of them seem injury prone.
The Dutch style of slower football also doesn’t suit the league, Ten Hag found that, and it’s no surprise we look better at home when the crowd demand more attacking football.
I like a lot about Arne but I do think he’s under pressure, but the directors are as well because they’ve bought the players and some of the analytics seem flawed.
The fitness team also don’t seem to have a programme which can put a team on the pitch to meet the demands of back to back games at this level.
I wonder if there are structural problems at the club which are being exposed now we see a transition from Jurgens team. This is probably the reason he fell out with Edwards.

Robbo, I agree. I feel that Slot is concerned about injuries to the point that it translates to low energy performances.
