He lacks the minerals to be elite level. Listen to him speak, every other word is UMMMM. He makes excuses and says stuff like this - Slot rules out tactical shift to halt Liverpool’s slide.
Being a good coach is not the same as being an elite level manager of elite sportsmen and being the figurehead of a world class club, as Jurgen was.

Um, Slot cruised us to the title with, what has become increasingly apparent, a limited squad. In his first season. It took Klopp four years to get his hands on a trophy.
One needs to be careful what one wishes for: it’s a huge gamble to bin a title winner.

When Liverpool struggled and you could see Klopp was flustered, he sounded like a babbled mess.
Slot is right in this tho - it’s not time to rip up the script and start with new system, tactics etc.
It’s not that it is impossible, it’s more that it is impractical in-season.
I don’t like any of the ideas people are putting out there anyways. Tweaks within the system are doable imo.

You’re comparing Slot to Klopp on the basis that Klopp took four years to get the title.
Klopp had a rubbish infrastructure and a prime City to deal with. The comparison is folly Monster.

Other than the results this year, the biggest change is Slot's press conferences. Nevermind his pauses or struggles with the language, it's the content that is totally different for me. It's like we have a completely different manager this year: willing to blame individual players, embarrassingly pointing out the smallest things he thinks are going well while the house is burning down around him, claiming we've been unlucky when the poor run started - it's all way too reminiscent of Rodgers for comfort.
For sure now, his complete lack of ideas and refusal to try anything new has to be a sign he's already been told times up. It's just pathetic otherwise.

As much as I love you Mr 25, when was the title last won by a manager who arrived mid-season? Wenger? Mid-season appointments generally reflect short-term thinking.

Klopp said the same thing when he had his difficult seasons, yes seasons plural.
He said multiple times it difficult to change entire system because they have no time train it. They could manage for a game based on tactics but I don’t think that’s what people are saying.
Overall, I just think it’s an unnecessary clutch to find something else to bring Slot down for. Where the reality is that it isn’t an easy thing to do.
What I would criticize Slot for and something I’ve posted here is that he’s not creating a competitive squad internally. It seems like there are favourites and those who aren’t favourites are clearly just emergency pieces.
Must be demoralizing for the fringe players and on the flip side would make the favourites players have a sense of complacency about them.
They certainly play like it.
