I think its more that it doesn’t matter who starts or who is dropped. And thatbis apparent now. The football and results are always the same regardless of who’s on the pitch. Maybe its not necessarily the players but the dreadful tactics. Saying that, konate is a rule onto himself these days. I was a fan but the drop this season has been terrible.

F Musiala, I don’t post much here, but I’m a consistent reader. It’s clear from your posts that you’re a huge admirer of Slot, and that’s fine.
See, getting dropped is one thing; getting completely exiled is something else entirely.
Salah literally said he had a meeting with Slot, and Slot didn’t even give him an explanation for why he’s been dropped. Meanwhile, Konate, Gakpo, and Mac Allister have all been worse than Salah this season, yet they start almost every game.
Then the media push this narrative that Salah’s legs have gone or that he should be benched. Do you ever see that same scrutiny for Gakpo, Macca, or above all, Konate?
Salah has clearly been cornered.
And this whole idea that Slot has "credit in the bank" is only because of the record-breaking season Salah produced last year. Without that, Slot would already be in Ibiza for a few months now.

Everyone also wants Konate, Macca, Gakpo, Grav, VVD dropped. because let's be honest, they haven't exactly been anything close to what they were last year.

Aoe, id agree on the dreadful tactics, by the time our team saunters into the opposition half after 20 plus passes between centre backs the low block is set, doesn't matter what team it is, and then when Mo or Gapko get the ball they're faced with 2 defenders and our full backs have moved inside the already cluttered centre, there's nothing on but another pass backwards or a suicidal attempt at beating 2 men as they are both cut in on to their favored foot merchants, rinse and repeat.
Tactics are fundamentaly flawed.
This does not excuse Salahs outburst, but it must be so frustrating as a elite player being hamstrung by such a useless tactical plan.

Florian, you are right, pretty much everyone on here wanted Salah dropped, me included. He had been lousy up till when he was. And, before anyone says, he wasn't the only one.

Salah's persistent non performances has got him dropped and deservedly so, no LFC player has ever been selected on his past reputation and never will be, that's why this club is the most successful english club in history, by not resting on its laurels/ standing still?
For example Mac Allister said last season that Romero was the best centre half in the world, this was absolutely ridiculed by many on this banter site and above, looks like a very good call to me then and NOW, as I was the only poster (and ed025) who fully backed Mac Allisters views, the reason being quite simple Mac Allister was seeing the deterioration of VVD in training/ playing matches, he is also being picked presently and frequently solely on his past reputation just like Salah has been!
As you can see quite clearly from the current league table, past reputations get you nothing in football, it's healthy competition in every position that makes you better not worse!
Congratulations ed025 for currently being the best football team on merseyside and quite deservedly so, that could very well continue to the end of the season, as we only play players who did well last season but not this season!

Shankly who wants Salah out? Anyone with a brain knows it’s Slot’s tactics killing our squad. Salah goes from being the best in the league to his legs have gone and he’s rubbish in the space of a few months. Yeah that’s Slot.

Salah getting dropped = Totally fair and justified
Other players playing ass and not getting dropped = questionable and understandably getting scrutiny. How Gakpo keeps playing when he's utterly ineffectual must be quite frustrating. Especially for players like isak/ etikite, salah and wirtz
Also Slot clearly is doing a terrible job so he can also go. Its not one or the other.

My question was about Salah not slot Frode. Just think its hilarious the stick Salah was getting on here all season. But because its Slot dropping him he's an alltime legend again all of a sudden. hypocritical just a touch.
