Ed 001, Just curious if Im the only one who thinks that if Slot had planned a system to implement, using the players purchased in the summer, then he should just play that system even if it apparently doesn't include Mo Salah in it?
Whats he got to lose at this point playing the system he planned to integrate, with the players he planned to use for it?
Regardless of Mo's hurt feelings.

I don’t think anyone should be dictating how Slot should pick the team, certainly not players.

Slot won the league playing a certain way so was probably wanting to gradually change the style. And with the changes to key players and others form and fitness being poor, he’s been unable to do it leaving us in this weird in between 2 styles mess. It’s almost impossible to determine if it’s the players form to blame for the mess eg Konate, vvd mistakes costing us games, Salah, Isak, Macca, Gakpo awful or it’s down to they are not suited to Slot’s tactics.
It’s probably a bit of both. I completely agree with you now though. He just needs to do it so we can see if it works or not and then be sure he’s not the man for the job.

The Slot is playing and has been playing is the way he wants to play. That's it. This is all on him. We can blame players all we want but at the end of the day, he picks the team and deploys the reprehensible system that is making the players look bad.
Worse, we know these players can play better cos we've seen them do it in real time. When he played last season's tactics, it worked and we beat Villa and dog-walked RM. Then, he reverted back to the same nonsense away to City and got rightfully smoked. That's how I draw my conclusion described above in my first statement. I say what I see.

Ron Keague Do you actually watch the games mate? Do you pay attention to line-ups, the selection week in week out, the form, do you watch the press conferences? I genuinely want to know because judging from the string of complete blind faith in the manager comments you post, you either don't watch any of it or you're a trolling man u fan. There's no way anybody with half a brain can look at Slot's choices when it comes to tactics or selection and think he that he's making good decisions.

Slots new system doesn't suit a lot of the players we have, including some of the new signings, not just Salah. Slot is deluded.

If the players were bought to play Slots style from Holland then Slots should abandon that idea immediately. He does not have the players to play that system or style.

@Faith, Slot played the press with Feyenoord, for starters. We pressed last season and even did so vs Villa and RM. Why did he abandon it?
