Well according to Ornstein you may quash all the rumours of incomings this window! If true I think it's a disgrace from the club absolutely wreckless.
Since 21/ 22 we've signed 2 defensive players one Being konate who's contract is up and Looks to be leaving! The other is Leoni.

Come the summer we may only have vvd Leoni and Gomez (if he can last the long) I hate to be a moan but it's madness!

The usual Ornstein briefing by club to say we are likely to see a quiet window. I would hope that the reality is they are busy trying to do something that will help this squad. One CB is a must and not an unreasonable ask.

Jay dub, FPF, both correct lads. Last summer tried for Guehi, why not now? They obviously knew we need CB 's so they brought in Leoni and tried for Guehi! It's now an even worse situation than the summer and still they mess about. Buy Guehi this month, offer the money they were going g to spend anyway!
If not, then LFC get what they deserve.

Even at the reported £40m I would go for Guehi but it sounds like his preference is to stay at Palace until the summer so it may be out of our hands. Losing Bradley for the rest of the season is a major blow. I don't think we signed Frimpong to play RB and I'd like to see us bring in a another RB rather than see Szobo or Gomez being forced to play there.

That way Gomez can focus on being a backup CB. Although not ideal Virg, Konate and Gomez can see us through to the summer at CB.

Ornstein reports often have an ulterior motive. Proably to show Palace, Leizig or whoever we are negotiation with the we are calm and not desperate.

It's all just pointless propaganda from the club, in my opinion. If we do want to buy players - defenders - in this window - then the club will have to acknowledge that they will need to pay over the odds because of the predicament we are in with injuries. I don't think it's necessarily negligence on the clubs part in not - as yet - having brought anybody in.

If we are going to pay 'top dollar' then we want players who will still be starters or at least match day squad players when everybody is fit. A couple of knee jerk buys for players who aren't fit for purpose would leave the club open to criticism, form fans and pundits, about financial mis-management.
